Email & Cell Phone Notifications

There are many times when a CNC is running unattended when a supervisor would like to be notified if a CNC stops. A low coolant or bar feeder alarm on Friday night could ruin an entire weekend's production. Every FactoryWiz system includes the ability to send emails to a desktop account or a cell phone. While you might think you need a Blackberry or other smart phone to receive email notifications, in fact you do not. All major wireless carriers provide email addresses that will forward to your cell phone as a text message. Key this address into our system and you will be receiving notifications on the weekend in no time!

In order to use this module, you will need to have an email account for the FactoryWiz to use for sending outbound emails. If you have an Exchange or other email server, you may be able to set up an address on that same server to handle the outbound messages. If this is not possible - don't worry. Our software works perfectly fine with any ordinary GMail account as the outbound server.

Examples of items you may want to receive an email for:

• Alarms

• Variable changes

• Machine idle in excess of (x) minutes

• Feed rate override turned down below (x) percent for (y) minutes

• Part program transferred out of CNC to your network and needs to be verified

• Particular bit in PMC / ladder has changed

• Operator pressed a button to send you a message
