Extended Keypads

The RYM Terminal solution, or RTerm, is a matched set of hardware and software to give you a powerful remote device for sending and receiving files right from your CNC controller. It is ideal for locations where you are unable to put a client computer for either physical reasons or security concerns.

With a complete alpha-numeric keypad you will be able to enter any standard file name that you would be able to use on a CNC with a full keypad. Additional RTerm-only features include the ability to get instant feedback when a file is found, a button to check the queue status, a button to "reset" the port and clear the queue, and buttons to jump to send or receive mode. You will even be able to tell when someone has stopped the DNC software!

Each RTerm can be configured for as many CNCs as you want, and the operator can select which CNC to send or receive from by using the up and down arrows on the device.

The RTerm software runs as a windows service on your DNC computer - you will never even see it running. It communicates with the terminal through any COM port. Dedicate one of the ports on your DNC hub and communicate right through the network. Or go wireless with our 2-port wireless boxes! One RS232 port for your CNC, and the second for the RTerm.
