The optional Alerts module for PC-DNC plus
is fully integrated with the DNC system, allowing you to leverage the
same infrastructure to serve two applications. This option allows you to
set conditions which will send text pages using the mail client of your
choice. Supported MAPI clients include Netscape Communicator, Microsoft
Outlook & Exchange, Novell GroupWise, and Lotus ccMail. You may
configure up to 128 events which will trigger a page. By adding this to
the CNC Monitoring
option, you can receive pages if a part does not complete in an expected
time of if you want a part count at a pre-determined time of day.
PC-DNC
plus with the Alerts option is best suited for customers who:
- Want to monitor the operation of their CNC's
remotely
- Have critical jobs which must not be delayed
- Run in a "lights-out" environment
