DNC software is the core component in a manufacturing
network. The DNC software not only is responsible for the transfer of
part programs, but additional modules can handle functions such as
machine cycle monitoring, paging and email alerts, gauging integration,
paperless manufacturing, or customized modules made specifically for
your application. RYM's DNC software has a
few key advantages over that of our competition, such as:

PC-DNC Editor |

PC-DNC Editor is our easiest to use
communications package. Because our software is customized for CNC
communication, it is easier to use, easier to set up, and more reliable
than generic packages such as HyperTerminal or ProCom - which are not
designed with your CNC in mind (this is especially true in drip-feed or
"DNC" operation). In addition, this product includes a
true G-code editor which is both powerful in functionality and easy to
use. In fact, many of our customers like the ease-of-use of our Editor
so much, they use it to replace or compliment the generic editors which
come with their CAD/CAM systems.
PC-DNC
Editor is best suited for customers who:
- Need easy, reliable communication to their CNC
- Want a powerful and easy to use G-code editor
- Do not need to communicate with more than one
CNC at a time
- Need software for a laptop or PC-on-a-cart

PC-DNC plus |
|

PC-DNC plus is a powerful communications suite
which also includes our easy to use PC-DNC Editor product. This package
is oriented for shops with more than one CNC, and up to 128 on an
individual system. All CNC's gain the ability to communicate
simultaneously (important if you need to drip feed files which are too
large to load into your CNC's memory). Other advanced features include
the queuing of multiple part programs, automatic handling of downloaded
files, remote requests (the ability to transfer files without leaving
your CNC control), and support for Ethernet and wireless serial device
servers. Optional features include support for Ethernet capable CNC's,
cycle time monitoring, restart after tool break, automatic pager and
email notification, and the ability to control communications from any
computer on the network with floating client software seats. Moving your
multiple-CNC shop to PC-DNC plus will allow you to make the most use of
your CNC's while requiring the least amount of labor from your operators
- a true win-win situation.
PC-DNC
plus is best suited for customers who:
- Would like the ability to communicate with all
of their CNC's simultaneously
- Need to control communications or edit from
any computer on the network
- Have interest in monitoring your in-cycle and
out-of-cycle times
- Require notification of critical events by
pager, cell phone, or email
- Have one or more Ethernet capable CNC's
- Want to reduce the back-and-forth foot traffic
of transferring files
